What .si is
.si is a two-letter country-code ending, run by the Slovenian registry Register.si. It is one of the shortest endings there is and reads as SI: Super Intelligence. Names on it are short and look like a brand rather than a web address.
Who can own a .si domain
Anyone. Registration has been open to people and companies anywhere in the world since 2005; no address in Slovenia is needed. You hold the name at any registrar that offers .si and renew it there.

How the transfer works
A .si name transfers with an authorization code, with no waiting period. If you have a Spaceship account we push the name to it at once; otherwise we give you the code and your registrar completes the transfer, usually the same day. The whole process takes one business day.
Trademarks and ownership

Renewal and registrars
