How buying a domain works
Six steps, most of them ours. From the moment a price is agreed to the name sitting in your account is usually one business day.
- Buy at the listed price, or make an offer from the name's page. We answer every offer within one business day.
- You accept our price, or we accept your offer. From here the price is fixed and the name is held for you.
- We open the transaction at Escrow.com, a licensed escrow service, and you receive the payment link. We never hold your money.
- Escrow.com confirms your payment is secured. Nothing moves before this, and nothing can be sold from under you after it.
- We send the authorization code, or push the name to your Spaceship account. Your registrar completes the move, usually the same day.
- You confirm the name is in your account and Escrow.com releases the funds to us. Welcome.
Timing
.si names transfer within one business day. If you have a Spaceship account we push the name to it at once; otherwise we hand you the authorization code and your registrar completes the transfer, usually the same day.
Fees
We pay the Escrow.com fee, so the price shown is what you pay. Your bank may charge for an international wire, and your registrar may charge its usual transfer or renewal fee.
